Do you need transportation?

How to get there?

From Quito: Bus leave every 30 minutes from the “Cumanda”terminal to Latacunga. It´s 2$ for 2 hours.

From Latacunga: 2 daily buses leave at 11.00 am and 12.00 am for Quilotoa. It takes 2 hours and a half to get there.

Buses run every hour to Zumbahua. It’s 1.50$ and then you can hire a truck for 3$ or walk for 4 hours to go to Quilotoa.

How to get away?

• Buses leave at 1.00 am, 3.00 am and 5.30 am to latacunga. It is 1.50$ for 2 hours. 

• A daily 2.00 pm bus goes to chugchilan. 

• You can also can hire a truck for 3$ to go Zumbahua and from here you can take a bus to Latacunga.

Where can you sleep?

• Near the lake: you can stay in the cabins or do camping. 

• In the village: cheap accommodations are available. There is also a place for a group of people. -->

What to bring?

• Water 

• A sleeping bag

• Warm clothes 

• Sun protection 

• Hat 

• Waterproof jacket
